About Our Studio

The Black Box is Leo Media’s project recording studio situated on the outskirts of Newbury in Berkshire. The facility is small but well-appointed, featuring the latest in audio/music production hardware and software, and makes the perfect studio location for:

• Writing and arranging music
• Recording solo singers and musicians
• Mixing and mastering
• Producing radio commercials, jingles and idents
• Recording Spoken Word projects such as audio books and talking magazines for the Blind
• Producing voiceover packages and preparing voice prompts for IVR systems
• Sound and music design for computer games and the moving image

Although our studio isn’t big enough to handle larger groups such as choirs, orchestras or bands, Leo Media has established links with local venues offering acoustically spectacular state-of-the-art performance spaces which we can use to record your project with our mobile recording rig. Your project can then be migrated over to our in-studio editing facilities for mixing and mastering. We can also bring our mobile rig to a venue of your choosing of course.
